| Only 2 weeks to go until Stahlhammer release their latest cd 'Opera Noir' and the anticipation is reaching breaking point. The coverart has been released, two promo shots have been made avaliable and all shops are gearing towards the band's 6th album release. In case you have forgotten, the release date is set for 31st March. DeutscheMusik.net has obtained an early release copy of the album which is being held under tight wraps, so expect a full review of the album on the eve of the release.
Check out the Official Stahlhammer site | | | | Stahlhammer have finally been able to annouce a release date of their upcoming album Opera Noir. With a new label and booking manager, the band confirmed the other day that the release date is to be the 31st March 2006. The album will contain 13 songs including 3 covers. These covers are "In The Air Tonight" by Phil Collins, "Heroes/Helden" by David Bowie; and "La Paloma" which is a traditional song.

Opera Noir (French for "Black Opera") will be the title of the new album, and it will contain 11 songs in total. A Stahlhammer album would never be complete without some unique coversongs, so this one will feature 3 coversongs including the traditional song. The remaining 8 songs will be all new and original Stahlhammer tunes. The new album is nearing completion and we are hoping for a release date within a few months around the beginning of the summer! The date given at this stage is the 27th of September. The band has had some trouble with record labels before it found it's new label Goodsongs.
