Sorry i got it just 1 hour ago, and i'm too overwhelmed right now.
Such level of perfection and details is just astonishing!
They must have spent dozens and dozens of hours for that cd!

And all the violins, double basses, oh my god, this is a whole orchestra in the background, and if this wasn't enough, a near to perfect guitar riff on top!!!

And the booklet is so beautiful, all those fotographs and illustrations!

Really a great piece of art, nothing else!

It is indeed an awesome album,
but I'm not sure if I like it more than Schlafende Hunde.
Schlafende Hunde is one of the most perfect albums I've ever heard.
Vater is not bad either.

I agree with all you say and reacted the same when I first picked up the album . Schlafende Hunde rivals Auferstehung, but it's awesome in a different way. Auferstehung is more 'perfect', but as a story and a combined album, SH is just so fucking awesome, too .

Exactly my opinion! 8)

The story of SH is of course "better", at least more voluminous,
but Auferstehung features more diversity in terms of music and composition.

Auferstehung sounds more interesting and more powerfull to me and has larger scale arrangements by which the sound profits a lot.

I clearly hear that Janus improved their "sound creation" skills,
so i expect the next album to be again a bit better than Auferstehung 8)
i don't know yet how do do this, but i'm sure Janus will do the trick! :twisted:

That looks freakin sweet. Where did you acquire the digipak? I can only find the jewel case.

Lucky I don't mind the music, else I'd buy it just for the packaging!
