Shame you couldn't get into Schweisser. I used to think Heiland was their best album and if you were rather new into this whole german metal deal (like I was, back when I ordered 4 of their albums blindly at first) you'd think that was the album that standed out the most.

Maybe it's still my favourite album of theirs but recently I've been listening to more stuff from Wilkommen im Club, which funnily enough has been for a long period of time the album I liked the less. But notice tracks like ?rger, Der Spinner, Immer Im Kreis (totally agreed with that part F_GX talks about) or Wolfen among others, they're just wahnsinn! Heiland is softer but a lot more catchier and Eisenkopf is pretty raw (used to be my favourite).

So, unless you really need those other albums I think that maybe it'd be better for you to keep those Schweisser albums and give them a few chances in a row one of these days. And I'm talking out of self-experience, I wasn't too hooked on Schweisser at first but if you really try you'll get the point that their music was somewhat different than anything else you have or might still hear in the future, they were indeed an unique band and I think the way they ended was just too sad...no band deserves such attitude by their fans, no matter how crappy the album might be (and Bitte Warten is not THAT bad).

So, unless you really need those other albums I think that maybe it'd be better for you to keep those Schweisser albums and give them a few chances in a row one of these days.

No, you're absolutely right there. I'm just listening to them again, starting with Eisenkopf, which I'd probably say is the best (originally thought it was the worst because of that damned Ich bin du /part 1 track). I think it might just be a phase - I've recently been attracted to bands like Totenmond and Dornenreich.

I don't know why I've found it difficult to get into them. They are by NO means a bad or crappy band to me at all. I suppose I'll keep them (along with Das Ich), and maybe one day it'll click. Willkommen im Club has just finished playing; now onto Heiland. I might even give Bitte Warten a go one of these days.

Ich bin du rocks :o That was the very first song I listened from them 2 years ago or so, and only part 1. It was so wickedly cool that I eventually ended up digging their music some time after.

And I see a pattern there. You can't really compare those 2 bands to Schweisser or Megaherz or bands of the same sort because in terms of musical compositions they easily top these bands. But it's just phases anyway, diversification ends up being the key so I'm glad you decided to give them another try and eventually keep their stuff. I think that no matter how much you get hooked up on a new band or a new genre you must never forget the stuff where you get started on - for example, I remember that a while ago I listened to nothing but Totenmond for months and you have no idea of how refreshening it was when I blasted the good oldie "Eh, du alte ficksau" track by Knorkator through my speakers

I think the main part of the reason was a desire to get some fast money to get other stuff, and so I picked on the ones I haven't listened to much. I mean I like Das Ich and Nile, and coming to my senses I've decided to keep those too.

Totenmond for months on end huh? I have to try that sometime...

Right, about time for me to add something.

I came across Schweisser one day after checking their website out. They had samples of their last album Bitte Warten, which did nothing for me. But with a bit of a hunt around on their site I managed to find samples from Heiland, I couldn't believe this was the same band, then when I found samples of WIC I thought somebody was playing a trick on me. I really liked the Heiland samples so I bought it. I was definately impressed. Tommi B?ck's brilliant unique vocals and very well constructed songs struck a note with me straight away. I had it in my stereo for about 2-3 months and I still love it 3 years later.

I decided to branch out and by more of their albums. I just took a guess and bought "auf der autobahn zur h?lle". I absolutely hated it. Once again had to double check this was the same band. I was about to sell it straight away, now I'm glad I didn't. It did kind of grow in me and is a great cd to play when your in a happy/drunk mood.

I then bought WIC. The first track "?rger" showed me how much aggression this band had and 1:52 into the song Der Spinner was brilliant power for me. Tommi's vocals were great for me again. Much different to the adazh cd I just bought. Malaria was a songle from the album and I can see why, It is a great song.

After this I bought Bitte warten. Ok It's nothing like their previous albums and it was very pop-rock. But it wasn't THAT bad!
Finally I got me the Eisenkopf Cd. that was more raw power than WIC but not as well thought out. Although one of my favourite tracks of all time, Napalm, is on this cd.

Schweisser were one of the first metal bands to make good for themselves in Germany and the VERY first German metal band on the MTV headbangers ball, that must mean something..

Schweisser are one of my favourite bands of all time and I cannot see that ever changing. And its a dam shame they went out in the way they did...

And damn, I wish someone could ever find their videos...I don't know why but I've had this feeling I've seen a Schweisser videoclip when I was way younger on MTV or so, on an alternative music videoclips show, this has been haunting me for years and unfortunetly it seems it'll keep being the same way for longer
