I just got this album and I must say I think it's quite good. I hated most of Ihr Wolltet Spa?, Labyrinth had a few good tracks and many boring ones, I've only heard a few tracks from their first and I must say this is their most solid release. I'm not a big fan of the band, but I liked this album. Good stuff.

Never liked them enough to consider myself as a fan, but this album is just something different. Very enjoyable - from beggining to end. I'm specially more fond of the first CD out of the 2. Probably their best effort so far.

Favorite songs: Schattenreiter, Der Arzt, Dein zweites Gesicht, Immer noch wach (feat. Schandmaul) & Versuchung.

:twisted: funny isnt it when a band writes a heavier album and looses some of the medieval sound suddenly people start to like them its sad but i think there should have been more pipes

It's just that the folk aspect wasn't really that big when it comes to Tanzwut. If I want folk music, I can get better elsewhere.

Hm, well, I listened to the album a few times so here's what I tink about the songs:

01. Schattenreiter - I was ready to play the new Godsmack album when I decided to listen to this track, jsut to know what is the new album cause I wasn't a fan. That song made me listen the whole album at the moment - hard, headbanging, what more?

02. Der Arzt - very catchy song, more Industrial, more movement and the bridge is... wow...!

03. Im Tiefen Gras - First I thought it was Corvus Corax, hehe. Non-distorted guitars, rock. I like it! Chorus is great!

04. Endlich - Here the pipes play in half-tones which makes the song somehow... darker. My favourite moment is the little electro sample before the chorus! Tanzwut use more electronics in this album, that's cool!

05. Dein Zweites Gesicht - Not bad but nothing special IMO :roll: It sounds like 100 other songs but it's again different. Not badm, yep.

06. Geisterstunde - The killer! Tanzwut!? So hard!? Wow, great track, my favourite!

07. Spieler - This song speaks for itself more than I can explain. I like it and I don't, really, I dunno what to say about it.

08. Seelenverkaeufer - The old familiar beat I like this one, I can dance here

09. Immer Noch Wach (feat. Schandmaul) - Schandmaul here! Some violins, some different sound... one of my favs again

10. Intro (Intro) - Who doesn't know this melody???

11. Toccata - GREAT! One more favourite songs from this album!

12. Der Bote - Well, I didn't get what they want to say with this one. I didn't like it. It sounds like it's every musician for himself.

13. Versuchung - One more catchy song, I like it, more folklore and Industrial.

14. Vulkan - If there was no pipes in this song I'm sure it would enter in the German clubs as a dance hit 8) Very good!

15. Kaltes Grauen - A song for the ooold fans IMO. I don't like it, they could do it better. Sounds like weaker copy o Versuchung.

16. Du Sagst - Very good electronics here! The rest is just good, chorus kicks ass!

17. Wieder Am Riff - Favourite again. More industrial and non-stop guitars, incredible!


18. Gefangen - Energetic, rock, good

19. Signum Ignitum - ЕВМ Folk? 5 and a half minutes I was dancing on my chair! Hear thie part with more beats, it drives me crazy

So, that's it, really really good album!!!

I think you got it pretty much spot on except for me 'Seelenverkaeufer' lacks the special something and as for 'Der Bote' I agree that they sounds like they are playing on their own, but when the chorus kicks in they all seem to unite and give it that extra punch.

I guess we can all agree this is a pretty good album.
