Definately a pain in the ass to see this happen to one person's work, in which so much effort had gone into.

I've been offline for a few days moving back into college and once again when I'm away I'm greeted with problems on the forums.... I have too much to do right now sp the forum will be fixed in a few days. The most recent backup was from about a week ago. Updates later.....

Just a quick update... the forum will be updated to the latest version of PHPBB software (while keeping the Stahlhammer Forums design) and then the database will be restored to how it was on August 13th which was the most recent time it was backed up. I'll be doing all of this when I have some spare time next week from the 5th to the 8th of September, so just be patient until then.

I don't know exactly how they hacked the site but it might have something to do with the fact that the forum software was a few months old and I didn't update it in a while. I'll just need to update it more often I suppose.

There are many hackers all over the world who go around to random websites to hack them and leave their "signature" on the site for no reason other than to say they did it, because they obviously have nothing better to do...
