I've got Tabula Rasa and Perpetuum Mobile, and planning on getting Ende Neu, Haus der L?ge and the Kalte Sterne compilation.

Question - is it worth getting the Strategien Gegen Architektur compilations if one already owns the individual albums?

Yep I agree. I came close to getting Ende Neu, but got Pretty Hate Machine by NIN instead.

I like the packaging of the Strategies Against Architecture. Too bad a lot of the songs on there I already own the albums too.

Get Ende Neu anyway, it's one of their best albums. I have Halber Mensch, Perpetuum Mobile, 2 x 4 , Ende Neu, Hause Der Luege, Silence is Sexy, Strategien Gegen Architekturen, and Zeichnungen des Patienten O.T.

I know this is reviving a long dead topic but It has to be done, I just got my first EN album! I?m standing around Best Buy trying to find something to waste a gift certificate I got a while back that was about to go bad but after searching the aisles and aisles of rap, hip-hop and punk I had all but given up hope. I mean sure, there were some decent metal groups, Iced Earth, Within Temptation (quite a find there really?) and a few At Vance CD?s but nothing worth spending money on. Then I found something I never would have imagined, thrown into the CD?s randomly with a paper identification instead of the nice plastic one all the other groups get was a copy of Perpetuum Mobile?FOR 5 BUCKS!!!

Now truth be told I hadn?t heard that much of EN but I loved the three songs I had heard and so I praised the gods of music (and while I was at it, I figured with the current luck Id see if they could provide me with Daddy Long Legs?like that was ever going to happen) and picked it up. I think the cashier thought I was a nazi, she kept reading the name quietly to herself (mispronouncing it quite badly) and looking at me with this kind of cockeyed suspicious look?ah well. So I run out to my car and pop it in?at first I wasn?t sure what to think but by Ein leichtes leises S?useln and Selbstportrait mit Kater I had decided it was pure brilliance?really inspired stuff and though I?m usually a ?stronger? music lover I just couldn?t resist it. I admit I was a little disappointed by Ozean und Brandung and Der Weg ins Freie, but I guess that?s to be expected from a group like this.

So all said and done I?ve got to say I see what everybody was going on about and will try to find some of their other stuff soon (just happened upon some cash I had stashed away, was hiding with the gift card). Oh and if your wondering I spent the rest of my card money on the ultimate Journey package?5 live concerts on DVD, all CD?s, one master CD, 10 ?autographed? postcards and pictures as well as a poster, a hardback book on the ?journey? of journey and a button?yes a button. Anyway I would say today was good?oh yes and to all you who are going to threaten me with spoons?I DON?T CARE JOURNEY WAS AND FOREVER IS THE BEST!!!

Never heard of Journey... but congrats on the EN find! They are actually not hard to find over here in the States, even in the bigger music stores. I've seen EN albums all over the place, you'd be surprised.

Now if you really want to challenge your mind, get some Faust.
