I don't know how much you've heard,
but I recommend you getting Schlafende hunde as a first album.

And about Hote Eden, I asked about it a while ago at knochenhaus.de
and Rig answered that is in fact the original version of Hotel Eden on Hundestage.
In case anyone cares.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll look into getting that one. A few months ago I was looking at Janus CDs at various websites, and I recall that they were all extremely expensive for some reason. Do you know someplace that sells them for a reasonable price?

I looked at lots of places and everywhere the Janus CDs were pretty expensive.
The cheapest I found was Auferstehung at MNS for 12? and that isn't even cheap.
There is also a swedish mailorder which sells Schlafende Hunde for around 4-5?.
It's the russian release which has a picture on the CD instead of just black like the regular version
and russian translations in the booklet.
But it's a bad place to order from since they hardly have anything interesting excluding this.
Sorry I couldn't help you.
I don't know many american mailorders,
but the ones I tried didn't have any Janus. Not even Ebay.
Maybe knochenhaus.de will have them at reasonable prices when the shop opens again.
But I think they don't ship to the US for some reason.

I don't think I will use that mailorder then, if it has nothing else I would want. Even if the CD is cheap, the postage would probably be too much for just one thing. I will check out some of the smaller American mailorder sites and see who has what.

@Jrgen: Winterreise contains classical songs, only played with violins, violas, double bass and piano. But regular lyrics by Rig.

btw imho there is no "best Janus song ever" because they get better and better every album

Yeah I know. I am a lot more into Janus now than I was a year ago, which is when I posted that. They're my favourite band now, and I'm not sure if they were back then.
