If you haven't read the news, it's my sad duty to inform you that Silber have broken up. There has been no reason given just yet and no news of any new projects which are sure to surface. Dam annoying espeically after the brilliant Hier und Jetzt

Hier und Jetzt was such an amazing album, it's a tragedy they won't be going on together...

I had to check twice when I first read about this, such was the disappointment and will to believe that it was just my eye sight on a bad day. Truly sad news.
Though we did have the previous Weissglut "warning", even if for totally different motives. Or even what happened upon the release of the first album (the problems with the tour and record label). To me there's always been something that made me question the reasons as to why Silber never met the same success as they did when being creative inside a recording studio, when outside of it...and I hint that these may have been one of the reasons behind a decision like this, I prefer to think the fact their music was never recognized for what it's really worth over the years overcomes the fact that they simply can "produce no more" together, especially after an album which displayed a musical creativity at a peak level. Let's indeed hope for new projects to surface in the future.
